Peanut Butter & Co., a New York-based specialty and natural foods processor, announced today that it had received the non-GMO certification for 9 of its peanut-based products.
Meaning, no genetically altered plants were used in the production of the product.
Since, to my knowledge, no GMO peanuts are currently being grown, this is kind of a big deal about nothing unless you count whatever else the company adds to its various flavored peanut butters.
